Thursday Thoughts

Here is something I thought today:

1. It’s strange how the same thing can appear very big in one situation and very small in a different situation. The Lake Manitoba looked HUGE when we boarded in Liverpool. But in the middle of the ocean it looked so small, surrounded by thousands of miles of water. Sometimes the waves were almost as big as the ship.

2. People who like animals are very trustworthy, don’t you agree? The first moment I met Patrick I knew he was a kind person because he cuddled his puppies so gently.

3. I just had a BRILLIANT thought! Perhaps Patrick will give me one of his puppies when we reach our homesteads. He doesn’t need two dogs, does he?

4. I’ve been thinking about the anthem we sang at the concert: Rule Britannia, Britannia rule the waves;  Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.  Do other countries have a song like that? Nobody from any country wants to be a slave.
